Technical report

Reliability models for standby robot-safety systems

This thesis models six standby robot/safety-unit configurations, including imperfect switching, using Markov and supplementary-variable methods. Its abstract connects failure and repair parameters with availability and mean time to failure. The primary repository dates the thesis to 2007; the 2013 repository date is kept separate and does not make this a new 2013 study.
