Keep the standard, edition and application together

Use a bibliography with clear boundaries for each reference.

Reviewed 2026-11-04 · Engineering interpretation · authoring reviewed

Independently authored engineering commentary. Specialist technical review and native-language translation review remain open.

Three starting references

The reference register identifies ISO 13849-1:2023 fourth edition, ISO 10218-1:2025 third edition for industrial robots, and ISO 10218-2:2025 second edition for industrial robot applications and cells. These are bibliographic entries. Licensed-text clause mapping remains a qualified human review task.

Record applicability

For each project, record robot type, cell boundaries, deployment market, standard edition and manufacturer document revision. A current ISO edition and its adoption or legal treatment in a particular market need separate verification. The forum should preserve old edition references in historical records while making their date visible.
