Tactile handle for deliberate human–robot contact

A capacitive handle estimates interaction force and distinguishes a firm human grasp, allowing intended contact to be considered separately from accidental contact in industrial collaboration. The abstract describes a 3D-printed prototype and bench tests. It is a device concept for interaction sensing; it does not establish safe operation of a complete robot application.
