Production access and servicing
A proposed task table distinguishes routine access, teaching, clearing a fault and maintenance. OSHA 1910.147 addresses servicing and maintenance where unexpected start or energy release could injure. Its scope and exceptions must be evaluated for the actual US workplace. For other markets, identify the applicable local duties.
Ask what remains hazardous
For this project’s guard-door scenario, list gravity, pneumatic pressure, electrical energy and the held part alongside robot motion. Define who may reset and start, and how occupancy is checked. Decide the energy-control procedure for each task before using a stop sequence as an access procedure.
