AirTouch: Towards Safe Human-Robot Interaction Using Air Pressure Feedback and IR Mocap System
AirTouch combines infrared tracking with controlled airflow to give people a proximity cue around an operating robot. Preliminary perception and interaction experiments examine whether participants maintain greater separation. A behavioral warning cue supplements, rather than proves, the performance of a protective function.
