Source overview
The design combines an elastically covered manipulator, a spring-damper trunk and a friction-constrained movable base. The authors evaluate how passive trunk and base motion suppress collision forces in several collision situations.
Use and review
Review covers bibliography and publisher-deposited abstract only. Detailed collision conditions and injury thresholds remain unchecked; passive compliance alone does not establish whole-robot safety.
