Motion Prediction with Gaussian Processes for Safe Human-Robot Interaction in Virtual Environments

Gaussian-process prediction combines hand motion and gaze to anticipate interaction with a cobot used as a haptic interface. The study compares task-time and safety-related metrics in a virtual-environment application. Reported relative improvements depend on those metrics and do not establish general collision protection.
